BI is blessed to have two of its overseas workers currently training in the States. Both are studying at Bob Jones University in Greenville, South Carolina. The man on the left is Daniel Telfort from Haiti. He is in his second year of a specialist degree in Bible translation. When he returns to Haiti, he will be the Creole Old Testament translator. Though unsure of his English skills when he arrived, Daniel was sure of God’s call. This year he is right at home with his studies and his environment, which is a blessing to the man on the right, Ouya Bongo. Ouya arrived in August from Chad, Africa, and this is his first visit overseas. He began his stay at the annual BI retreat, where BI staff befriended him. He is struggling with how fast Americans speak English. Join us in praying for good progress in his studies. When Ouya completes his training, he will return to Chad to coordinate our eight translation projects there. |
