Missionaries at Bibles International continue the work of getting Scriptures into the mother tongue of those who still wait to have that privilege. Following are excerpts from reports on two of BI’s projects. The Warao Bible  The Warao Indians use their New Testament as they witness.
“Oh, no! Something was wrong! After a trip to the computer repair shop, things still didn’t work right. And I was on the way to being distraught!! But then I was reminded that God already knew this was going to happen and that He was capable of providing a solution. Sure enough, He did—a “new” used hard drive (new hard drives for laptops just aren’t easily obtainable here) as well as an opportunity to invite the hard drive seller and family to church! Then with the Lord giving me the necessary strength to spend some late nights entering corrections, I was ready to print a copy. Oh, no!
"About halfway through, my coworkers’ printer ran out of ink! Downtown we raced to get the cartridge refilled. (New cartridges cost ‘an eye and the other eye’ as they say in Spanish.) Came home, ran off more pages. Oh, no! Out of ink again. Back downtown. Place closed. Found another place. Back home. Cartridge didn’t want to work. Had only one day before the Indians left again for home. Gail [my coworker] coaxed the printer to print some more. Later when it absolutely refused to cooperate, we were able to print the last twenty-some pages on my other coworkers’ printer. Then we got the pages to and from the photocopy place and finally into the hands of the Indians just before they left so they could take them home and proofread them like they had done previously! …
"Other crises have occurred, not just in the ministry in which I am involved, but also in my coworkers’ ministries, as well as in the ministries of the national workers. (One church under construction had two of its walls torn down.) We rest assured that none of these are a surprise to our Lord. All are part of His perfect plan to help us grow in grace and in the knowledge of Him.”
It seems evident that we need to pray a hedge of protection around Marilyn, national translator Hector, her coworkers, and the translation project in Venezuela. Satan wants to destroy any of the Lord’s work, but he is particularly eager to annihilate work involving the translation, printing and distribution of God’s word in the language of any people who have not previously had it. We need to ask the Lord to defeat the Enemy. “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places” (Ephesians 6:12).
