ImageGlenn Kerr, Bibles International's chief translation consultant, kneels in Chad between Abraham Munta and his wife.  This Chadian pastor was scheduled to be executed for his faith in 1973 by then-president Tombalbaye. The execution date was set, and the ten pastors including Munta were informed that it would be the next day. But God intervened!  The execution day went ahead as planned, but it was the president who was executed by his own followers in a surprise coup. Now, 33 years later at the age of 93, Pastor Munta rejoices that the Lord prolonged his physical life so that he could see the completion of the New Testament in the Sara Madjingaye language.  With this tool from God many will come to know the new life that is in Christ Jesus.  Pastor and Mrs. Munta have seen the gracious goodness of God in their lives and remain God's faithful servants as they look forward to eternal life in their heavenly home.
