| The original Manipuri Bible was printed in 1827 and revised in 1984. The translation was done primarily by missionaries, however. The church is now old enough and educated enough that they are discovering many problems with the current translation particularly the Old Testament. The Manipuris started from scratch shortly after the last edition was printed to retranslate it. They are eagerly anticipating its publication. |
