B. Linguistics:
Bob Jones University - has a summer program (one summer) in addition to their regular school year linguistic courses. As noted also above, Bob Jones University and Bibles International are cooperating to offer a master's degree in Bible translation and an extended master's degree as a specialist in Bible translation. Summer Institute of Linguistics offers training programs in connection with state university faculty and facilities in three locations each summer: Oregon, North Dakota, and Texas. Further information is available from:

Note: Though we recommend the equivalent of two SIL summers, the complete SIL summer program involves three summer sessions. The SIL program is also available as a one-year program at their Dallas location.

Several secular schools have linguistic programs that do not include Bible translation training, such as: University of Illinois, University of Wisconsin, Indiana University, Cornell University, Michigan State University, and UCLA.
